Exhibits, “Album 2012” and “Lucien Capehart” open Tuesday at the Palm Beach Photographic Centre. This double exhibition focuses on the Palm Beach area, and features numerous works by local photographers.
The first exhibit, “Album 2012 - Memories from Friends of the Palm Beach Photographic Centre” will include photos by:
Jeff Blakely, an award-winning landscape architect specializing in residential estates and specialty commercial projects; Alexander W. Dreyfoos, chairman and owner of The Dreyfoos Group; Bruce Gendelman, whose theme in this exhibit is “Reflections on Berlin”; Jean Matthews, an artist and photographer, whose works include Landscapes, Botanical and Macro photography; Avram Glazer, most of his photos were taken in New Orleans, New York and Palm Beach, and Tommy Morrison, known for his travel photos from Cuba and other exotic locations.
The second exhibit, “Lucien Capehart - Memories of Palm Beach” features 28 works from the late Palm Beach social photographer, Lucien Capehart. In the 1970s, Capehart opened his own studio and became a familiar fixture on the society scene for nearly 40 years.
The opening reception for both exhibits will be Tuesday, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Following the reception will be a lecture by Dreyfoos, from 7 to 8 p.m.
