Sweet and sophisticated:

It’s always a special occasion when chef Eric Regnier of La Bonne Bouche is cooking his Nicoise specialties. So when he offers a holiday menu on Bastille Day, it’s extra special.

His Lake Worth bakery and café is serving the special menu Saturday night for $29.95 per person. Adding to the ambiance: an accordion performance by The Post’s own Frank Cerabino.

And here’s an extra treat: if you bring in an Eiffel Tower rendering or knick-knack from 9 to 2 p.m., you get a free croissant.

La Bonne Bouche: 516 Lucerne Avenue in Downtown Lake Worth (between L and M streets); (561) 533-0840.

Haute and hot:

Once again, Pistache is throwing a Bastille Day bash so big it spills out of the Clematis Street bistro. The annual street party, which kicks off at 6 p.m., commemorates the storming of the Bastille with street performers, a waiters’ race, French dancers and street food.

And that’s just what’s going on outside.

Inside, expect a space costumed to the nines and, as always, the seriously decadent dishes of chef Julien Gremaud.

BOCA BURGER BATTLE

An all out burger showdown happens in Boca on Saturday, pitting burger masters from a range of South Florida restaurants. And by “burgers” organizers mean all kinds of burgers, meaty and veggie.

The so-dubbed Grilling Affair takes place from 7 to 10 p.m. in Sanborn Square Park, along Northeast 1st Avenue and East Boca Raton Road in downtown Boca.

In addition to the burger throw-down and judging for “Best of Show,” there will be craft beers, summer wines, live music by The Resolvers, a garden market and a retail bazaar.

Tickets are $50 in advance and $75 at the gate. For tickets and information, call (561) 338-7594 anytime from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., or visit BocaBurgerBattle.com. Must be 21 and older to enter.

ON THE MENU

THE DISH: White Fish Salad, $6.55

THE RESTAURANT: Makeb’s

With a seemingly endless menu, Makeb’s deli in downtown West Palm Beach offers a large and intimidating variety of deli staples, from fresh bagels to hearty soups. To make your ordering less daunting, we’ll offer this humble suggestion: try the white fish salad served on an “everything” bagel. It’s simply delicious.

While you can also get it served on bread, a sub roll, or wrap, this white fish salad will seem most familiar to deli patrons on one of Makeb’s freshly baked, homemade bagels. Because the fish used in this salad is smoke-cured, the rich taste is more salty-smoky than fishy.

The salad is served with lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, mustard, and a pickle. Piled high, this tall sandwich is a unique offering that can be equally enjoyed during breakfast or lunch.

THE INFO: Makeb’s deli, at 401 S. Olive Avenue, Suite A, in West Palm Beach (with another location at 4352 Okeechobee Boulevard), is open Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.; (561) 651-7444; Makebs.com

RESTAURANT NEWS

CLOSING

Gratify, the popular Datura Street gastropub, served its last batch of hot, homemade potato chips Sunday. The 3-year-old downtown West Palm hangout served a loyal local bar clientele.

Reef Road, the Clematis Street bar, closed last week.

The Jupiter Island Grill closed temporarily. A note on its door says, “closed until further notice.”

Chef John’s restaurant and blues spot, also in Jupiter, has closed. “We are taking some time off before we decide what the next chapter in our life will be,” says the restaurant’s Facebook page.
