It seems appropriate that, in Palm Beach County, a narrow vote would determine which local late-night hangout would be the area’s favorite.

Roxy’s in West Palm Beach won by mere percentage points, narrowly edging The Square Grouper with 15.4 percent of the vote. The Jupiter landmark ended up in second at 14.7 percent.

Third place was just as tight. The Backyard of Boynton Beach had 13.4 percent, while Howley’s, the West Palm diner, had 12.8 percent.

Guanabanas finished in fifth — the Jupiter restaurant had 11 percent of the vote.
