Renaissance feast

The second annual Madrigal Dinner, a Renaissance evening full of pageantry and entertainment, a court jester, wandering minstrels and other characters, food and music, modeled after the feasts of the Renaissance takes place at 6 p.m. Dec. 9, at St. Jude Parish Life Center, 21689 Toledo Road. Yesteryear Village, at the South Florida Fairgrounds, 9067 Southern Blvd., is hosting a Cookie Contest at their Christmas Village. To enter, deliver a dozen cookies in a disposable container to the village between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 7. Winners announced at 8:30 p.m. in Yesteryear Village. Cookies will be judged in the following categories: most creative, best tasting, most festive, biggest, best from Yesteryear Period (1895-1945) and best made by a South Florida Fair Volunteer. The Junior League of Martin County’s fourth annual Rudolph’s Reindeer Dash 5K will be held Dec. 8. The race runs a scenic course beginning at Sewall’s Point Town Commons Park.
