French film festival

FAU’s department of languages, linguistics and comparative literature will offer a French Film Festival at 6 p.m. Thursdays until Feb. 28. A discussion will follow each screening in the Performing Arts Building, Room 101, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus. Films are in French with English subtitles and will be introduced by FAU faculty. Films include “Le Havre,” (today), “Les Hommes Libres” (Free Men), on Feb. 7; “White Material,” on Feb. 14, “Film Socialisme,” on Feb. 21, and “Le Gamin Au Vélo” (The Boy with a Bike) on Feb. 28. Reggae on the waterfront

Clematis by Night brings reggae to the stage with Seefari, a festival favorite, from 6-9 p.m. today in Centennial Square in the 100 block of Clematis Street.
