Ever watch a TV show and think “I could have written that?”

Then join author Lois Cahall in her four-week TV comedy-writing class coming up at the Society of the Four Arts in Palm Beach.

Cahall wrote a couple episodes of Frazier, plus multitudes of magazine stories and a new novel, Plan C: Just in Case, which shot to No. 1 on the top-10 fiction chart for eBooks on Amazon.

She promises a “highly addictive, laugh-out-loud class.”

What will you do? Analyze classic sitcoms, write your own and do some impromptu acting.

“There will be no pressure, no stress… just a real bonding experience as we develop a plot, a place, characters and a completed script with our own jokes and punch lines. And then we’ll turn our round table of creativity on ourselves and act it out,” Cahall says. “If it’s really good, maybe we’ll take it to a network for pitching season! If it’s really bad, we’ll keep it our secret. If you can’t act, you can sit back and watch the fun volunteers and just read the narration lines.”

And in case you’re wondering, Cahall is pretty darn funny herself.

This is her 12th year as “The Screen Queen” (www.screenqueen.com), a syndicated radio personality covering the movie beat. Her broadcasts over the Saga Communications network reach more than 3 million listeners every week.

Class: Meets Monday through Wednesday for four weeks beginning July 9.
