Burt Reynolds reportedly doing better, still hospitalized with flu

By Kevin D. Thompson

Palm Beach Post Staff Writer

After landing in intensive care in a Florida hospital for flu-like symptoms, Burt Reynolds’ condition has improved and the actor is expected to be moved to a regular room soon, according to a report.

Erik Kritzer, a spokesman for Reynolds, told CNN that the 76-year-old actor was “doing better.” Reynolds was placed in ICU because he was “severely dehydrated.”

Kritzer has declined to say which hospital Reynolds is in, saying the actor wants to keep that information private.

Meanwhile, Reynold’s one-man show at the Lyric Theatre, scheduled for Jan. 30 and 31, has been postponed because of his condition. The show, titled “An Evening with Burt Reynolds — Part Deux,” was moved to March 25 and 26.
