The new Disney on Ice show, Dare to Dream, has already fulfilled plenty of dreams.

You can start with the dreams of the three skaters who earned the royal roles in the production, which takes to the ice at the BB&T Center in Sunrise Thursday through Sunday.

The show features a medley of fairy tales: Skater Kendra Moyle portrays Rapunzel from Disney’s “Tangled;” and the original glass-slipper-wearing princess, Cinderella, is Vicky Black, who skates with her real life husband James.

But Soniah Spence, who dances the part of Princess Tiana from “The Princess and The Frog,” the first African American Disney princess, called the role “pretty much the best role I could ever ask for.”

“Each of these princesses is searching for what truly makes them happy,” producer Juliette Feld says.

Five reasons to see “Disney on Ice: Dare to Dream”:

    • The incredible skating. Each of the 10 principal skaters has a competitive skating background and a resume full of achievements. They’re at the top of their game, skating at high speed and performing dizzying death spirals and jumps.

    • The ice show becomes an aerial act when Rapunzel and her hero, Flynn, use her hair, represented by 2,000 feet of yellow silk, to fly 25 feet above the ice! This was a challenge for the skaters, who needed six weeks of training to strengthen their upper bodies.

    • The gorgeous costumes from the royal uniforms to the quirky frog suits to the adorable skating horse to, of course, that single slipper, the finery glows.

    • All your favorite characters make an appearance. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and the gang, obviously, but also Cinderella’s mice.

    • The stories have great messages: Work hard for what you want. Stand up for what you believe. Be kind even when others aren’t. And never forget to dream.
