China Tokyo menu combines best of both worlds photo
Chinese and Japanese dishes are served at Wellington’s China Tokyo. There’s also a sushi bar.

MENU

The menu is a bit overwhelming because there are so many items. That’s not a bad thing though. The restaurant offers Chinese and Japanese cuisine.

ATMOSPHERE

Honey-pine woodwork, paper lanterns, etched glass and other Japanese-inspired artwork highlight the atmosphere. There is plenty of booth seating, along with a sushi bar.

OUR FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE

We started with the pu pu platter ($13.95). The presentation of this appetizer was nice, and the quantity of food was just right. I ordered from the Japanese side of the menu and went with the chicken teriyaki ($12.50). My husband had the Chinese dish of chicken with mixed vegetables ($9.95). Each of our entrees was served with white rice. The portions were very generous and tasty.

REASON TO GO

You get a lot of food for your money. Plus, the food and service were very good.

SERVICE

Our waitress was busy the night we were there, and she appeared to be the only waitress there. With that said, she hustled and always made sure we were well taken care of. I was very impressed with the service.

NOISE LEVEL

Music was playing softly in the background. The noise level was very moderate. Not a concern at all.

KID FRIENDLY

Because China Tokyo offers so many different items, the kids could surely find something they would enjoy. It’s definitely a restaurant for the whole family.
