A SWEET SIP photo
Pinot noir is a thin-skinned red grape that produces a relatively light cherry colored wine. The lighter body and tannin of pinot noir make it a nice warm weather choice for those who prefer red wine. (J. Gwendolynne Berry/The Palm Beach Post)

WHO: Trevor Jones, wine enthusiast and owner of Pita Grille in North Palm Beach

CURRENT SIP: Kim Crawford Pinot Noir from Central Otago 2007

“It is a full-bodied pinot, with tons of fruit, and enough complexities to keep a cab drinker on their toes.”

PAIR IT WITH: “I pair it with Pita Grille’s Garlic and Rosemary Lamb Chops, over vegetable quinoa, or even our house filet.”

PRICE: “Price is really nice for such a great wine, we offer it for $12 a glass, or $45 a bottle. On Wine Wednesdays, that $45 is cut in half, too!”

WHERE: Pita Grille, 12100 U.S. 1, North Palm Beach; (561) 630-0115. The restaurant, which serves Mediterranean and new American specialties, recently debuted a new market menu, offering some of its most popular items like hummus, quinoa, falafel, coleslaw and pita chips by the half-pint, pint and pound.
