MENU

The large menu features all the Chinese favorites, with many beef, pork, chicken, duck and seafood dishes. There’s a long list of soups and appetizers. For take-out customers, there are many combinations available at lunch and dinnertime.

ATMOSPHERE

Golden Pavilion is a lot more than a few tables in the lobby of a take-out restaurant. There are tables and booths in this cozy restaurant, far enough removed that the busy take-out traffic does not intrude.

FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE

My husband loves lobster, so the lobster Cantonese ($16.95) caught his eye immediately. For an added $2.50 he got an egg roll, fried rice and dessert. He’s a big fan of Chinese food, and he was more than pleased with everything, particularly the generous serving of unshelled, succulent lobster. My cashew chicken ($9.50) was tasty, with plenty of pieces of tender, stir-fried chicken in a light brown sauce. I also paid the additional $2.50 and got a Jupiter roll (with chicken), steamed rice and dessert. We ended our meal happily with rainbow sherbet and fortune cookies.

REASON TO GO

It’s a comfortable little restaurant with good food and service.

SERVICE

Our waiter was friendly and efficient. We were well taken care of by him.

NOISE LEVEL

There were several tables of diners enjoying their meals when we visited, so there was moderate conversation.

KID FRIENDLY
