ATMOSPHERE

Small and cozy, with only three tables and a lovely mural of a cherry blossom tree on one wall. There’s a walk-up counter for ordering takeout, and a small refrigerator to serve yourself with sodas, water and juice.

OUR FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE

We ordered takeout for lunch and tried the bourbon chicken ($5.25), served with roast pork fried rice and egg roll. It was sweet and tender and contained no gristle, unlike some places I’ve dined. For dinner later that day, we ordered a quart of moo goo gai pan ($7.95). It was delicious reheated and contained generous amounts of white-meat chicken and tender-crisp veggies.

SERVICE

We ordered takeout at the counter and the food was ready within 10 minutes. The clerk was helpful in navigating the lengthy menu.

NOISE LEVEL

Fairly quiet, with some clatter from the kitchen and classical music playing in the background.

KID FRIENDLY

Children will love the bourbon chicken and sweet and sour chicken. Other choices are pint-sized helpings of fried rice, chow mein and lo mein.
