ONE: THE LOBSTER ROLL

The first thing you should know about the lobster roll ($22) at the café that’s tucked into the popular Cod & Capers Seafood Market in North Palm is this that they get the bread right. It’s a toasty, buttered, New England-style, split-top roll. That hot roll is stuffed with a generous helping of fresh, steamed Maine Lobster meat tossed with a touch of mayo. It’s no wonder this is one of the cafe’s most popular dishes — it’s outstanding.

TWO: THE LOBSTER BISQUE

This is no ordinary starter soup, but a silky and aromatic bisque that’s consistently delicious. The creamy, tomato-based soup is rich with Maine lobster meat, laced with sherry and out of this world. Have a cup for $6, or have a bowl for $9 and make it your entrée.

THREE: THE SMOKED FISH DIP

Smoky and fresh-made, this yummy dip ($10) is served with wrapped Captain’s Wafers and super-fresh crudité sticks (the kind you won’t want to leave on the plate as garnish).

FOUR: THE STONE CRABS

The market sells some of the freshest claws in town — well, some of the freshest fish and seafood, period. During stone crab season (which runs through May 15) you can get a pound of medium claws with coleslaw and mustard sauce for $25.95 on Wednesday nights from 5 to 8 p.m. Stone crabs are available at the cafe during other hours at the day’s market price.

FIVE: THE KEY LIME PIE

Infused with real Key lime juice, it’s creamy, delicious and authentic. It’s made on premises daily and it’s yours for $4 a slice. A worthy indulgence.
