Enjoy hot or cold subs and some heavenly desserts at Lucio’s Gourmet Bakery & Deli in Juno Beach.

MENU

It’s short and simple, with six cold subs, five hot subs, penne pasta and cheese pizza. Bakery items include cannoli, cakes, pies, cookies, eclairs and biscotti.

ATMOSPHERE

The bakery is small, but there are a couple tables for those wishing to dine in. You can enjoy a sandwich while gazing at the display cases full of yummy baked goods.

OUR FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE

We all chose different sandwiches ($7.95 each) and everyone was convinced each had the tastiest one. My chicken cutlet with sauteed red and yellow peppers was especially good and so filling that I could eat only half. My sister, however, devoured all of her mozzarella, tomato and basil sub and raved about it after each bite. My mom, who is picky about Italian food, loved her baked eggplant sub. We all agreed the bread was the freshest and best ever. We saved room for dessert — how could we not? Everything in the case was tempting. My husband thought his eclair ($2.95) was outstanding, and after a bite of it, I had to agree.

REASON TO GO

Great sandwiches made in the freshest of sub rolls, along with heavenly desserts. The best of both worlds!

SERVICE

Very friendly and accommodating. Our orders were taken at the counter and delivered to our table.

NOISE

There were a lot of people stopping by for take-out orders, but we did not find it intrusive.

KID FRIENDLY

Youngsters might enjoy a turkey or Italian sub. If not, there are plenty of cookies available!
