ATMOSPHERE

Elegant and sophisticated, with white tablecloth service, candles at every table and live weekend entertainment catering to a mature crowd. The main dining room features rich, dark wood, muted lighting, a dance floor and a classy bar with a few TV sets overhead. I spied a smaller dining room in the back, and the one we walked through at the entrance is much more airy and casual than the main eating area.

OUR FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE

The lasagna al Norma ($15.95) was a delicious combination of homemade sheets of tender pasta, layered with a rich meat sauce and mozzarella cheese. The complimentary garlic bread that arrived before our meals was equally decadent, swimming in garlic and oil and topped with a delicious tomato-based sauce.

REASON TO GO

Homemade Italian dishes that aren’t simply cooked elsewhere and microwaved on site, a practice employed at some chain restaurants. An elegant restaurant by Port St. Lucie standards, and the live musical acts make it feel like you’re on a mini vacation.

SERVICE

Very helpful and friendly. We had a waitress and waiter attending to our every need from start to finish.

NOISE LEVEL

A one-man band was playing when we arrived, and after he finished background music was played at a moderate level in the main dining room.

KID FRIENDLY

There’s no separate children’s menu, but servers will offer such kid-friendly entrees as chicken fingers and small pizzas to the wee ones.
