No good Chinese? Cry ‘Uncle’ Tai’s

New Yorkers and such are always saying that there’s no good old school Chinese in South Florida, as if Chinese food was invented in New York (note: It wasn’t.) Nevertheless, there were a lot of New York accents in the room at Uncle Tai’s Hunan Cuisine in Boca Raton, so I wish they’d alert their brethren to the deliciousness to be found there - the fried rice is flavorful, the steamed dumplings are plump, and the eggplant in garlic sauce was perfectly seasoned. Add that to classic service - our waitress was right nearby but not hovering - and a gorgeous red and gold color scheme, and I think we’ve solved that “no good Chinese restaurant” thing. You’re welcome, New Yorkers!
