ATMOSPHERE

The update for this location, which has housed several other restaurants in the past, is quite elegant. That includes a classy-looking bar and a cool, unruffled décor. No red and white checkered tablecloths for this place. We are talking sophisticated Italian dining here.

OUR FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE

We tried the tri colore salad ($8) of crisp field greens, and the beet salad ($8), more field greens this time accented with red and yellow beets, because we know that beets are the new chic vegetables. They were crisp and subtly flavored. The roasted salmon ($16) was tender, accompanied by crisp broccoli. The lasagna verdure was a subtle variation on classic comfort food, a variety of vegetables covered with cream sauce that carried just a hint of nutmeg, all topped off with cheese.

This is an intimate space with chic décor and delicious food, presented beautifully.

SERVICE

Our server was there when we needed him, invisible when we didn’t.

NOISE LEVEL

Very serene at lunch, suitable for business or personal conversations.

KID FRIENDLY

There are plenty of choices in the artisan pizza category, but keep in mind that this is not your neighborhood pizza joint.
