OPENINGS:Green Leaf Organic Market, Jupiter

We spotted this sweet, newish market on Indiantown Road in Jupiter the other day and instantly craved fresh juice. Luckily, Sandra Johnston, the ebullient owner of the Green Leaf Organic Market, had just the fix. She whipped us up a large glass of delicious carrot-apple-ginger-kale juice ($6.99 large, $5.99 small) as we poked around the shop.

We discovered Johnston and her co-worker Robert Little, who opened the shop five months ago, grow lovely sprouts, wheat grass and pea shoots, offer fresh-picked eggs from Jupiter Farms as well as a range of gluten-free products, veggies, organic baby food and pet food. Johnston also makes a mean jalapeño sauce ($3.99) that’s delicious on tacos, eggs, salads, just about anything.

On Saturdays, she prepares a take-out buffet of mostly raw, vegan and gluten-free dishes. The buffet, which costs $12.99, runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. (while supplies last). If you’d like to come for the buffet, Johnston asks you call to RSVP at (561) 747-8923.

NATIONAL LASAGNA DAY

Lasagna lovers, take note: Brio Tuscan eatery is celebrating National Lasagna Day by offering half-priced Lasagna Bolognese Al Forno on Tuesday.

The rib-sticking, oven-baked dish (layered with meat sauce, ricotta, mozzarella and Alfredo sauce), which is usually priced at $17.65, will be served for $8.83 at all Brio locations.
