This was unexpected.

When we asked for your favorite local pizza place, we knew we would get quite a few responses. But more than 400?!

And when we combined them with our responses from Facebook, we ended up with close to 600.

So thanks, everyone!

We also ended up with a very interesting top 10.

Some of our finalists aren’t surprising — places like Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza and Mellow Mushroom have been considered favorites in our area for a while now.

But joining them are some perhaps less well-known pizza places, like Palm Springs Pizza. Or Camilli’s in Lake Park. Or Mario the Baker in Royal Palm Beach (it’s known more down in Miami).

About Camilli’s, Rick Waites said: “The best. Have been eating there since I was in High School (now 56 yrs old).”

Arielle’s favorite is Mario the Baker, and she’s got a very specific reason: “My ideal piece of pizza plus garlic rolls TO DIE FOR. Nothing else in the area can compare!”

Mellow Mushroom fan Brian Sandala likes how his favorite sets itself apart: “Mellow Mushroom doesn’t present to be ‘Authentic’-anything pizza, like so many NYC, Brooklyn, Chicago pretenders that can be found seemingly on every block.”
