A familiar name took the top spot in our Taking Your Pulse poll for favorite local farmer’s market.

Bedner’s Farm Market in suburban Boynton Beach won the poll with 34 percent of the vote, outdistancing Rorabeck’s of suburban West Palm Beach. Rorabeck’s ended up with 21 percent.

Third place went to Boys Farmers Market in Delray Beach at 12 percent, with Oceanside Market in Lake Worth edging Farmer’s Emporium of West Palm Beach. Oceanside ended up with 9 percent, while the Emporium had 6 percent.

Note to those who were eager to vote for a seasonal greenmarket — there is a different poll coming for you in October. This one was for year-round, standing businesses.

Bedner’s won last year’s greenmarket poll, and its popularity spurred pbpulse.com to split the poll into two groups — standing farmers markets and seasonal greenmarkets.
