ATMOSPHERE

Casual with an island feel. This cozy eatery has only three tables and a half-dozen or so stools at the large counter, but it’s big on charm. Calypso music emanates from one corner of the room, and you can watch your pizza being hand-tossed behind the counter. A TV hangs above the kitchen area, and artwork from local artists adorns the walls.

OUR FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE

The pepperoni pizza ($13.50 for large) was divine, with a perfectly baked crust and plenty of gooey mozzarella cheese and pepperoni. I started off with a Greek salad ($8), a cornucopia of veggies including roasted red peppers and artichoke hearts.

REASON TO GO

Tasty, affordable, home-cooked Italian dishes in a fun setting. The menu includes several unique varieties of pizzas, many of them with chicken and veggies and sporting surfing names like “pipeline” and “bleu crush.” You can wash it all down with a variety of locally brewed craft beers and wine. Takeout and delivery also available.

SERVICE

Very good on a recent Sunday night. As she was tallying our bill, the waitress realized we had ordered the components of a weekend special and gave us a discount on the ala carte prices.

NOISE LEVEL

Relatively quiet, with moderate Calypso music playing.

KID FRIENDLY

No children’s menu, but what kid doesn’t love pizza and cheesy bread sticks?
