Thanksgiving, the home cook’s favorite holiday, the day when cooks of every skill level take on feast-worthy recipes, is not for every kitchen. Some folks, home cooks among them, prefer to be thankful for other people’s cooking.

In that spirit of gratitude to hardworking restaurants, here are a few places to dine at – or pick up your feast at – on Thanksgiving:

CAFÉ BOULUD

Daniel Boulud’s fine café, located inside the Brazilian Court Hotel, is serving a three-course Thanksgiving feast from 1 to 9 p.m. on Thursday. Starter options include roasted beet salad with heirloom apples and Stilton, celery, chestnut and apple veloute, butternut squash soufflé and venison terrine. The main course offers a twist on the roast turkey standard – a braised thigh crepinette (the bird’s most flavorful meat wrapped sausage-like and roasted) with a sourdough and confit leg stuffing, sweet potato puree, fall vegetable gratin, Brussels sprouts and spiced cranberry compote. For the sweet finale, a choice of seasonal desserts that include old fashioned pumpkin pie and apple cinnamon tatin with salted caramel ice cream.

The Thanksgiving meal costs $75 per person, excluding tax, tip and drink ($30 for children under age 10). And here’s an added bonus: Each guest gets a Thanksgiving turkey sandwich, prepared by chef Jim Leiken, to take home. (You do get leftovers, after all.)

THE OMPHOY:

The oceanfront hotel serves a wide-ranging buffet menu on the terrace of Brandon’s from noon to 5 p.m., at $75 per person. On the spread: salads, a smoked fish station, charcuterie, cheese and eggs stations, traditional Thanksgiving dishes, a carving station and an assortment of desserts.

Later, the resort’s signature restaurant, Malcolm’s, serves a $55 prix fixe holiday dinner from 6 to 9 p.m. (An a la carte turkey dinner will be served as well.) The prix fixe includes offerings like lobster bisque, stuffed turkey breast, wild Atlantic salmon, and warm apple pie.

FOUR SEASONS RESORT PALM BEACH

Executive chef Darryl Moiles whips up quite a holiday spread at the Four Seasons. The resort serves Thanksgiving meals Thursday at its Ocean Bistro (from 5:30 to 10 p.m.) and The Restaurant (noon to 8 p.m.), and offers a turkey-to-go option.

At $65 per person, the Ocean Bistro’s four-course feast is a tempting option. To start, there’s a choice of pumpkin soup and polenta croutons, or a wild arugula salad topped with crispy prosciutto and pickled persimmon. For the main course, choose from a tupelo honey cider-glazed turkey with a leek-spoonbread stuffing or braised beef short rib with wild mushrooms. That’s followed by an artisanal cheese course. And dessert is a pumpkin trilogy of sweets or an apple bread pudding.

Meanwhile, The Restaurant offers a sumptuous Thanksgiving buffet ($110 per person, $35 kids ages 5 to 12; excluding tax and tip). It’s quite a spread, from stone crabs to ceviche, fresh-picked local greens, charcuterie, sushi and dim sum, roast Thanksgiving turkey, braised lamb, filet mignon, macadamia-crusted mahi mahi, and tons of desserts.

STEPHANE’S

The new, stylish Boca eatery is offering a $60-per-person prix fixe meal on Thanksgiving, served from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Appetizers include an heirloom tomato salad with Maytag blue cheese, a shrimp risotto, a duck confit and butternut squash agnolotti , a Caesar salad and a shrimp cocktail.

Entrées go beyond the turkey standard: horseradish-crusted salmon, prime rib, duck a l’orange, bouillabaisse and, yes, turkey (it’s organic and served with apple-walnut stuffing and other sides).

Dessert highlights: sweet potato pecan pie with Chantilly crème, and bosc pear tart with vanilla bean ice cream. Tax, tip and beverage not included in the $60 price.

III FORKS

The steakhouse will serve a four-course Thanksgiving feast that starts with a fresh tenderloin tomato soup, continues with a house salad, followed by a choice of spice-rubbed turkey and giblet gravy, roasted beef tenderloin or maple-glazed salmon, and ends with a choice of pumpkin pie torte, Kentucky bourbon chocolate-pecan pie or chocolate-peanut butter torte.

The meal, with tea and coffee included, costs $44.95 for adults and $15.95 for kids under 12. (Tax and tip excluded.) The steakhouse will be open from 4 to 9 p.m. on Thursday. Reservations are suggested.

DECK 84

The waterfront eatery serves a “Floribbean” Thanksgiving menu that includes conch chowder, hearts of palm salad, mango-glazed salmon with braised greens and baked yam and poached pineapple and rum coconut custard. Or go the traditional route with more classic holiday offerings.

Or combine elements of both menus, which are priced a la carte. The Thanksgiving menus are available from noon to 8 p.m.
