The film:Children of Paradise, screening at 2:40 p.m. Saturday and 6:20 p.m. Wednesday at Lake Park’s Mos’Art Theatre. A new digital restoration, taken directly from the original camera negative, of Marcel Carne’s 1945 classic, considered among the greatest French films of all time.

The food: From the escargots to the profiteroles, the French Corner Bistro & Rotisserie serves up authentic French cuisine near the intersection of Okeechobee Boulevard and Military Trail in West Palm Beach — an unlikely location for culinary paradise, perhaps, but it’s hard to argue with the sound of Hot Goat Cheese Salad, Croque Monsieur or Cherry Jubilee.
