Breakfast and lunch only. Omelets and egg dishes, pancakes and waffles, salads and sandwiches. The food comes out fresh and tempting.

ATMOSPHERE

This is diner/deli style seating, with booths and four-top tables that can be pushed together, but never too crowded despite the usual bustle of patrons and staff.

OUR FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE

I tried something different, the trifecta ($7.59) with bacon, which gave me a traditional breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon and a pancake. The multigrain pancake was plate-sized, and I chose the cranberry nut option of the nine different additions you can make. But I usually get the turkey chive crepegg ($7.99), which is a special concoction of First Watch. It’s a crepe, layered with eggs, turkey, veggies and cheese. My 2-year-old gave the kid’s French toast ($4.99) her approval, and she likes the fruit-stuffed crepe with yogurt.

REASON TO GO

Most of the breakfast offerings come with yummy seasoned potatoes, but you can swap them out for a fruit cup. You can eat healthy and enjoy the taste. In addition to breakfast items, which I never seem to get past, you can get a sandwich on a variety of breads with lots of the good stuff inside.

SERVICE

Zulma has been at the Boca Raton restaurant for quite a while and always takes my special requests with a smile (hollandaise on the side). They’ll bring you your own carafe of coffee, but the staff is very good about keeping drinks filled and checking for any extra needs. Expect a line on the weekends.

NOISE LEVEL

It’s pretty busy with a constant buzz of conversation and jangle of dishes. Not the place for intimate moments or serious conversations, but the atmosphere is friendly and bright.

KID FRIENDLY

Kids get their own menu (and crayons), drinks come in a covered cup with straw and the offerings should appeal to most of the younger crowd. Portions are generous.
