ATMOSPHERE

Cozy yet refined, with a tank of live lobsters in the main lobby and rich wood paneling and accents throughout the four spacious dining areas and bar. Dozens of comfy booths and tables from which to choose and eye-pleasing nautical décor throughout.

OUR FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE

Within minutes of ordering a basket of warm, Cheddar Bay biscuits was delivered to our table, disappearing almost as quickly as it arrived before a second basket was summoned. The endless shrimp special ($14.99) was featured during our visit and it included as much shrimp as you could eat in five decadent varieties: fried, garlic scampi, parmesan, teriyaki and linguini alfredo. I was partial to the creamy alfredo version, while my children raved about the grilled teriyaki shrimp served atop a bed of wild rice. For $8.25, my daughter added a succulent half pound of snow crab legs. The entrées came with a choice of two sides, and the seasoned mashed potatoes are always a favorite.

REASON TO GO

Although it’s a chain, the seafood is fresh and delicious here, and the biscuits are always a comforting sight at the beginning of a meal. There’s also a fresh fish menu printed daily, so you know you’re getting the seasonal favorites.

SERVICE

Very good. The waitress was prompt in filling drinks and asking if we wanted more shrimp.

NOISE LEVEL

Pop music played in the background and there was quiet chatter from nearby diners, with an occasional round of birthday greetings delivered by waiters — including one to my daughter.

KID FRIENDLY

Children can feast on fish, shrimp, snow crab, chicken, or mac and cheese.
