Find comfort food with sophisticated twist at The Cottage photo
The Cottage offers cozy, intimate dining inside, along with a large brick patio outside where there’s live music seven nights a week.

MENU

Comfort food with a sophisticated twist. Salads, sandwiches, wings, omelets, and a few signature items including Beggar’s Pouches (pasta stuffed with pear and Gouda cheese). Popular Sunday brunch includes favorites such as banana macadamia pancakes.

ATMOSPHERE

The dining room is small and intimate, but the large brick patio is the highlight with palm trees, pretty string lights, a mix of bistro tables and sofa-like lounge chairs. Tables are spaced out comfortably enough to allow diners privacy. And the patio features live music seven nights a week.

OUR FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE

Grilled Filet Mignon ($25) with port wine glaze was so tender, my companion barely needed a knife to cut it. Mac & Cheese ($9) is rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of cheese — not drowning in it. The Fez ($12) is a big crunchy Mediterranean salad with grape leaves, tangy dressing, and hummus and tabbouleh on the side with pita triangles. Beggar’s Pouches ($14) have just the right combination of spice, sweetness from the pears and crunch from the pine nuts.

REASON TO GO

A fun, casual spot to relax with friends and enjoy large portions of tasty dishes.

SERVICE

Leisurely and unobtrusive.

NOISE LEVEL

Depends on when you go. There is nightly live music on the patio later in the evening, but the earlier hours tend to be more serene.

KID FRIENDLY

Yes, except the later evening hours (when most are probably in bed anyway). There is a kids menu with mac & cheese, PB&J, hot dogs and more.
