This is a place for folks who really love burgers — hamburgers, cheeseburgers, bacon burgers,

bacon cheeseburgers — and fries. For the few who might venture in and not be in the mood for a burger there’s hot dog as well as veggie and grilled cheese sandwiches.

ATMOSPHERE

Definitely casual. Whether you opt to dine in or take out, there are bags of roasted peanuts from which you can take some to munch on. The peanuts are really good, so be sure not to overindulge or you will spoil your appetite.

OUR FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE

We ordered the bacon cheeseburger ($6.79), little bacon burger ($4.69), veggie sandwich ($2.99) and hot dog ($3.59) with a variety of toppings as well as regular and the Cajun fries ($2.99 each). Suffice it to say that Five Guys has mastered the art of the burger. They were moist, flavorful and loved by all. The hot dog is cut and so is presented like more of a sandwich. The veggie sandwich was really good. Mine had grilled mushrooms, onions and peppers. Folks who are picky about fries will love the Five Guys version — it features real potatoes like you might use at home.

It was efficient, and our cashier was patient as we tried to decide from the long list toppings.

NOISE LEVEL

Pretty quiet on a Wednesday evening around 6:30.

Yes, unless your child is strictly mac and cheese or pizza.
