Food, entertainment go hand-in-hand at Benihana photo
Benihana is a fun and vibrant restaurant overlooking the St. Lucie River. Downstairs is a lounge and sushi bar.

MENU

Japanese cuisine, including soups, salads, appetizers, sushi, sashimi, rolls, rice and noodles. Hibachi-style chicken, steak, seafood and vegetables are cooked to order on a sizzling steel grill at your table.

ATMOSPHERE

Fun and vibrant, with colorful hibachi tables and a personal chef who caters to eight people seated around him. Look out over the beautiful St. Lucie River while your entertainer-chef chops, dices and plays with your food before serving it to you one dazzling course at a time. Downstairs is a lounge and sushi bar.

OUR FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE

The chicken and shrimp for two ($36) was on special the day we dined and included salad with ginger dressing, onion soup, steamed rice, shrimp appetizer and hibachi-style chicken, shrimp and vegetables. You can’t get much fresher than this. We enjoyed the show as much as the delicious food, which is enhanced by a duo of homemade dipping sauces.

REASON TO GO

For a truly memorable meal with a side of fun, this is the place to go. There’s a tranquil Japanese garden and walkway behind the restaurant along the scenic river.

SERVICE

Our waitress was attentive and quick to fill requests. The chef was more than happy to hand out soy sauce or extra dipping sauce when he wasn’t spinning an egg on the grill and calling it an “egg roll.”

NOISE LEVEL

Fairly noisy chatter and cooking noises.

KID FRIENDLY

Children are treated like royalty here, with most chefs going out of their way to entertain kids by tossing shrimp tails and such at them. On the menu, children can choose from California rolls or Hibachi chicken, shrimp and steak.
