House specialties range from Thaicoon roasted duck to shrimp abalone mushroom to crispy frog legs. As with most Asian restaurants, vegetarians are easily accommodated with many tofu and vegetable choices.

A popular hot spot in north Palm Beach County, Thaicoon boasts a large, beautiful dining room with intricate wood carvings and statues.

OUR FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE

Crispy spring rolls ($3.95) arrived beautifully presented and were piping hot with a crispy outside and tender filling. Tofu basil with mixed vegetables and rice ($7.50) had firm chunks of fried tofu, crispy fresh veggies that were steamed just right and a delicious tangy sauce. The wide, flat soy sauce noodles ($6.50) with chicken and broccoli had an interesting and pleasantly chewy texture.

Some of the best-tasting Thai in Palm Beach County in a pleasant, slightly upscale atmosphere.

SERVICE

Professional and topnotch. Our waitress was attentive and watched from a distance to make sure my companion and I had what we needed, but never hovered or interrupted as sometimes happens with over-eager servers.

NOISE LEVEL

Moderate. Despite the big lunch crowd on the day we visited, we were still able to converse comfortably.
