The portions are large and the food is tasty at Rama Restaurant, which has a menu featuring traditional Thai dishes.

MENU

Traditional Thai. Curry, pad Thai, stir fry, fried rice and spring rolls are on the menu. Specials top out at $20, and most entrees were under $15. During our visit, Rama offered a buy-one-get-one-half-off deal.

ATMOSPHERE

Dated. The décor hasn’t been updated for years, maybe decades. The dining room was empty during our Saturday night visit.

OUR FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE

Everything was quite good. The panang curry shrimp ($14.95) was spicy and flavorful and included plenty of large prawns. The woon sen with vegetables ($11.95) was piled with fresh broccoli, and the tom yum goong soup ($4.25) was full of shrimp.

REASON TO GO

Tasty food, large portions and reasonable prices.

SERVICE

Friendly. Our servers were attentive, although the restaurant was so empty that no one vied for their attention.

NOISE LEVEL

Modest. Music was playing, but it was quiet enough to allow for conversation.

KID FRIENDLY

There’s no children’s menu, but our kids were happy with spring rolls and wonton soup.
