For a quick bite, Pizza Girls offers indoor and outdoor dining on the waterfront.

MENU

The name says it all. Pizza Girls sells slices and full pies, along with subs, wings, salads and cannolis. There’s also Italian ice and a small selection of beer in the refrigerator next to the cash register. We weren’t adventurous enough to try the pizza dog ($4.25), a hot dog rolled in mozzarella and pizza dough.

ATMOSPHERE

Very casual. There are a few tables inside and a few more outside, overlooking Waterfront Clematis. We ate inside and found the quarters cramped.

OUR FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE

The 18-inch Times Square pie ($20.95) was topped with breaded eggplant and was easily big enough for eight people. I’d dispute Pizza Girls’ assertion that it was a gourmet pizza — the pie was too gooey and greasy to be considered an elite offering. We also ordered a couple slices of pepperoni pizza ($4.75 each) and small salads ($3.25 each).

REASON TO GO

I wouldn’t go out of my way for the pizza, but it’s a fine destination if you want a quick slice while hanging out on Clematis.

SERVICE

Our server was friendly. Because you order at the counter, service isn’t a major concern.

NOISE LEVEL

If you eat outside, there’s some traffic noise from Clematis. If you’re picking up a takeout order, the noise won’t matter.

KID FRIENDLY

Definitely. Pizza Girls’ casual atmosphere and menu make it about as kid friendly as an eatery can get.
