Shelby Chesnes doesn’t know if anyone will recognize her from the small sunglass or car ads she modeled for in the last few years.

That won’t be a problem from now on.

Bookstores around Jupiter, Chesnes’ hometown, have struggled to keep copies of the July Playboy edition on the shelves after Chesnes debuted in the magazine this month as Miss July 2012. Chesnes, 21, will be autographing copies of the magazine today at the Books-a-Million in Jupiter from 7-9 p.m.

Not only is she on the map, she has fans. At a recent Playboy appearance in Massachusetts, fans drove as far as New York City to have their picture taken with her. She’s not just the cheerleader from Jupiter High, anymore.

“I hope this will be a jumpstart to modeling,” she told The Palm Beach Post Wednesday. “This is going to be my priority for now because you only get this opportunity once in a lifetime.
