MENU

Tapas, antipasti, fresh pasta entrees, pasta classics, meat and fish dishes, pizza — for a mix of traditional Italian dishes and American main dishes.

ATMOSPHERE

This is a comfortable restaurant favoring booths and four-top tables that can be pushed together for groups, or a seat in the bar area overlooking the open kitchen. In a string of restaurants across Glades Road from Town Center mall, it offers pleasant dining for families.

OUR FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE

Start with a fun list of tapas at two for $9, such as bruschetta and goat cheese peppadew peppers. The fresh pastas include a pasta di mare ($18) with scallops, mussels and shrimp thoroughly coated in pomodoro, and the classic pastas have the penne rustica ($14), a mix of roasted chicken and shrimp with a creamy rosemary sauce that is quite filling.

REASON TO GO

Parking is easy, with a lot just for the restaurant (entrance from Military Trail) and the menu offers a selection sure to make everyone happy. And dinner starts with a large warm roll for the table with dipping oil, which keeps my 2-year-old happy until food arrives.

SERVICE

Servers are attentive as my husband’s iced tea stayed filled.

NOISE LEVEL

The restaurant is usually bustling with customers and staff, but the noise level allows dinner easy conversation.

KID FRIENDLY

A separate kid’s menu offers the favorites such as chicken fingers ($6), which were crispy and not out of a box. Crayons are handed out and the entire table is covered with paper, so there’s plenty to distract the little ones.
