DINNER AND A MOVIE

Staci Sturrock’s pairing of film and food

The film: Fans of Mystery Science Theater 3000 fondly recall Manos: The Hands of Fate as the very worst of the bad movies that Joel, Tom Servo and Crow endured. The MST3K crew returns at 8 tonight in select theaters for a one-night-only, all-new Manos roasting. Check movie listings for a theater near you — and check your knowledge of accepted moviemaking practices at the door.

The food: Calling Manos “cheesy” is an insult to cheese. Get your fromage fix in high style at The Cheese Course, a Mizner Park shop and bistro showcasing products from dairy farms worldwide. The menu includes the popular Prosciutto di Parma with fresh mozzarella; a Spanish field greens salad with Manchego, orange slices, red onion, oil-cured black olives and honey-tarragon vinaigrette; and cheese courses curated from more than 100 cheeses and matching accompaniments. In other words, the cheese you choose is in your hands.
