The lounge at Cafe Boulud, at the Brazilian Court, is one of my favorite fancy places on an island full of fancy - I love the low-slung wooden ceilings and the comfortably elegant couches, like the ones your favorite aunt used to keep the plastic covers on. But here, they let you sit on the furniture - and eat on it! Enjoy the Happy Hour every day from 4-7:30 p.m., featuring half priced specialty drinks, beer and wines, along with a special bar snacks menu that includes the chickpea fries (my favorite carb!) Come hungry. Be fancy.
