Definitely Tex-Mex, and believe the company when it says the “menu isn’t long — but it’s long on options.” You start with burrito or bowl , your meat selection and a variety of add-ons that include rice, beans, cheese, lettuce and guacamole (at an extra cost). Tacos and chips also are available.

ATMOSPHERE

Very casual and could be a little off-putting on first visit because it’s quite no-frills, and one gets in a line to place the order and get the food. It’s much like a random fast-food place except the add-ons are in front of you, so you can dictate your preference.

FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE

We ordered what I considered a fair variety: chicken bowl ($6.25), chicken salad ($6.25), pork bowl ($6.65), steak tacos ($6.65), steak burrito ($6.65) and chips and guacamole ($2.95). It was all delicious and amazingly fresh-tasting. One bite and one will quickly understand why people are so patient as they wait in line.

REASON TO GO

The food, and be sure to try the guacamole. Plus the company’s “food with integrity” policy means it uses sustainably raised food as well as local and organic produce when possible.

SERVICE

It’s pretty much a fast-food assembly line so service is efficient, not warm and fuzzy.

NOISE LEVEL

It was noisy, but if one is in a total chill mood this might not matter.

KID-FRIENDLY

Absolutely. There is a kid’s menu that features taco or quesadilla.
