RA Sushi’s Watermelon Kiwi Shrimp ($10) is gorgeous - pink, perky shrimp tossed with fresh watermelon chunks, orange, kiwi and lychee. But you can’t just stare at it. Eventually, you’ll have to disturb that gorgeousness and eat it… or do you? (Yes, you do. Trust us. You’ll want to.)

The shrimp dish pairs well with RA’s Melon-Kiwi Tini ($8), the sushi bar’s featured summer cocktail that’s sweet-tart good. Both summer items are available in a special $18 pairing through the end of July.

ON THE MENU

THE DISH: Cape Cod Clams Casino and Stuffed Clams

THE RESTAURANT: Carmine’s Gourmet Market

With dozens of fresh, quality deli options, Carmine’s Gourmet Market can be overwhelming at first glance - the sprawling deli counter wraps its way around the market, seemingly hugging the bounty of ingredients that fill Carmine’s shelves.

A quick and easy option, which will instantly become a favorite, is the Cape Cod Clams Casino. Served on the half shell, this staple of trattoria cuisine is created with fresh clam, breadcrumbs, a generous amount of Italian seasonings, paprika, garlic, and of course, bacon. The dish is chewy, sweet, and the herbal seasonings are omnipresent and strong. The deli’s Cape Cod Stuffed Clams, which offer the same basic taste, are essentially the bacon-less cousin to the clams casino.

THE INFO: Carmine’s Gourmet Market is located at 2401 PGA Boulevard #172 in Palm Beach Gardens, and is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday. Phone: (561) 775-0105 (www.carmines.com)

PAMPLONA…OR PALM BEACH?

Yes, we’ve been noticing those ads about a “running of the bulls,” too. Cha Cha’s restaurant is bringing a little touch of Hemingway to the island on July 6th. Apparently, the eatery’s owners Nick and Johnnie are going to charge down Worth Avenue at 5 p.m. with pinned-on tails. It’s all a celebration of the Feast of San Fermin, popularized and made famous in Hemingway’s The Sun Also Rises. But don’t worry. No real bulls are going to be crashing into tony store windows. The bull is, basically, you. You run after Nick and Johnnie. The first “bull” to catch them gets a 3-day cruise. Cha Cha’s, which is also hosting an after-party with conga band, is at 150 Worth Ave. For more info: ChaChasPalmBeach.com
