If you were around in August, 1969, you probably remember the Woodstock Music & Art Fair — the iconic event of the Summer of ’69 that captured the drama and passion of the Make Love Not War generation. Woodstock took place 43 years ago in sleepy White Lake, N.Y., but you can celebrate the event with the Norton Museum of Art Thursday.

In conjunction with the photo exhibit, “Clubs, Joints, and Honky-Tonks: Photographers Experience the Music Scene,” the Norton Museum of Art is hosting a nostalgic evening of music, art and conversation from 5-9 p.m.

Photographer Eliott Landy will be signing copies of his book, Woodstock Vision, The Spirit Of A Generation. Landy, exhibition curator Tim B. Wride, and Andy Preston, music director at classic rock radio station WKGR 98.7 FM, will host a discussion about the festival and its effect on music.

Relive the music with the Grateful Dead tribute band, Crazy Fingers, and a screening of the documentary Woodstock.

Don’t miss the Dazed and Confused Homebrew Competition or Cafe 1451’s specialty food station, which will offer magic mushroom sandwiches, Woodstock wieners, mud bath sliders, special brownies, and that staple of the hippy diet: granola.
