Taking Your Pulse: Key West wins poll for favorite local ‘getaway’

When it comes to getaways, the old standby still reigns supreme.
Key West won the Taking Your Pulse poll for favorite local getaway, with 20 percent of the vote, edging out the state’s southwest coast — Naples/Fort Myers/Gulf Coast had 17 percent.
Orlando was in third at 13 percent, while Key Largo/Islamorada/Upper Keys had 9 percent.
The Bahamas and St. Augustine were in a tie for fifth at 8 percent.
