Laura Vivas of Lake Clarke Shores sings on ‘The Voice’.

NBC … plucky, sassy NBC … we have a problem.

Let me be more specific. I have a problem. And it’s that I want to hear Laura Vivas.

When the Lake Clarke Shores singer got past her original blind audition on The Voice, we never got to hear her sing, so that you guys could devote more time to stories you felt were more important. One of those stories was of Wellington’s Cassadee Pope, so I didn’t mind that all that much. But we’ve also gotten every drama from all those pitch-problematic tiny teens who mysteriously all sound like drunk cabaret singers from 1920, and that unpleasant fake Pussycat Doll Domo person.

What we have not gotten enough of is Laura Vivas. Tonight, we were told that she won her battle round, powering through Lady Gaga’s Poker Face, and heard a few seconds of it, along with an extended shot of that lovely smile that charmed me in her first appearance. It was fun, funky and excellent. All several seconds of it. Why didn’t we get to see her inner thoughts about her battle prep, or celebrity mentor Billie Joe Armstrong? Why can’t we ever get all of her performances, or at least as much of other people’s?

She’s still there, so maybe we’ll get to hear Laura sing an entire song. Come on NBC. You can make this happen. It’s your show.
