Whether you think Tim Tebow is a great QB or not, one thing is for certain — and one thing New York has only begun to learn — the man brings the spectacle.

Wednesday, Tebow was given the ESPY award for Best Moment for his performance with the Denver Broncos in an OT win over the Steelers. His acceptance speech was the kind of humble showing that has come to exemplify Tebow.

Westword has more on the speech, as well as his other appearances — where he was part of the opening bit with host Rob Riggle and also presented the first award.

So You Think You Can Dance: Fox’s summertime dance competition began in earnest, with the show’s final 20 — including local dancer Eliana Girard — pairing up and getting together with choreographers. Eliana is paired with “animator” Cyrus “Glitch” Spencer, and did a decent job with Tyce Diorio’s “Broadway” number based off the musical Hairspray. No one seemed to really stand out until the very last couple, when Lindsay Arnold and Cole Horibe put together a stunning paso doble choreographed by the estimable Jason Gilkison. America’s Got Talent: One night after a heated exchange between judges Howard Stern and Howie Mandel over South Florida contestant Big Barry — Stern thought Mandel was pushing a no-talent ahead of other deserving contestants — we had our second week of eliminations. It was a little surprising that crossbowman Ben Blaque, an early favorite for the finals, got the gate — but he didn’t really have a great performance. But I give credit to Mandel — it was ultimately his decision to take the Stern-backed aerialists Donovan & Rebecca over Sharon Osbourne’s choice, teen singer Danielle Stallings, and he could’ve easily taken Danielle to spite Stern. More here on the Stern-Mandel tiff from Norman Byrd of Huliq.
