Check out the newest exhibition, “Selections from PBA Permanent Collection,” at Palm Beach Atlantic University’s Warren Library. The exhibit features the original oil-on-canvas painting “Wishes Are Horses,” by late Palm Beach artist Tauni de Lesseps. The display is on loan by art dealer, collector and musician Philip Foster, who owns Philip Foster Art in New York City.

Tauni de Lesseps, who passed away in 2001, was a Palm Beach resident. She was a well-known international artist, conducting many “one-man” shows of her work in galleries in New York, Rome, Florence, Vienna and Old San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Her sculpture and paintings cover a wide field, both in subject matter and media. She has three bronzes in the White House, and her work is included in the collection of the Hirshhorn Museum in Washington, D.C.

A gift from her Alpha Omega Charitable Foundation Inc. has made possible the Tauni de Lessips Gallery at Palm Beach Atlantic University. The exhibition will remain on display through Nov. 30.
