Favorite breakfast place?

Howley’s, because I love the traditional diner atmosphere and the breakfasts are great.

Howley’s, 4700 S. Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach. Info: 561-833-5691; sub-culture.org

Favorite lunch spot?

Atlantic Bar & Grill at the Four Seasons in Palm Beach. This is one of the nicest lunch places I know of anywhere because the food is good, its moderately priced, and you sit in a sea grape hammock in the dunes overlooking the ocean.

Atlantic Bar & Grill at the Four Seasons in Palm Beach, 2800 S. Ocean Blvd., Palm Beach. Info: 561-582-2800; Fourseasons.com

Favorite way/place to relax and recharge?

Sunbathing, swimming and walking at Clarke Avenue Beach in Palm Beach. The best way to get there is by bicycle because there is very little parking, which luckily limits the number of visitors.

Clarke Avenue at South Ocean Boulevard, Palm Beach.

Favorite place for a quiet dinner?

Joy Noodles on Dixie is like a home kitchen: Fresh, good, healthy, friendly and inexpensive.

Joy Noodles, 2200 S. Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach. Info: 561-655-5212; joynoodles.com

Favorite restaurant to take out-of-town guests?

Without a doubt, Guanabanas in Jupiter is perhaps the best restaurant to fulfill a visitor’s expectations on what they would expect when visiting South Florida: waterfront dining, outside, tropical and serving Florida seafood. The live music adds atmosphere too.

Guanabanas, 960 A1A, Jupiter. Info: 561-747-8878; guanabanas.com

Favorite tourist-y place to take out of towners?

CityPlace and downtown West Palm Beach is the most desirable destination for visitors because you can park in one of the many city garages and then spend a whole day or evening without ever getting in your car again. The offerings are diverse, with dozens of restaurants, shopping, theaters, pedestrian zones and open spaces for walks, a waterfront, live performances, bars, clubs and much more. The complimentary trolley is a plus.

CityPlace, 700 S. Rosemary Ave., West Palm Beach. Info: 561-366-1000; cityplace.com

Favorite park?

Riverbend Park west of Jupiter because of the nature paths and canoeing on the Loxahatchee River, which is one of the best trips for visitors who want to experience the real Everglades up close. Alligators, snakes, birds and turtles are everywhere!

Riverbend Park, 9060 Indiantown Road, Jupiter. Info: 561-741-1359.

Favorite theatre?

For live performances, it would be Palm Beach Dramaworks. There is not a bad seat in this professionally run theater. An inside tip would be The Royal Room at The Colony Hotel in Palm Beach, which is one of the finest dinner cabaret venues in the country.

Palm Beach Dramaworks at the Don and Ann Brown Theatre, 201 Clematis St., West Palm Beach. Info: 561-514-4042; palmbeachdramaworks.org
