Both Holden and Jodi Luntz studied fine arts: Jodi studied painting at the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee, and Holden received his graduate degree in fine arts from NYU. They met after college when Holden opened his first gallery in Milwaukee. Jodi’s professor was having an exhibition of his paintings there.

Holden moved to Palm Beach nearly 30 years ago to become director of Irving Galleries, the long standing family business. He brought photography to the gallery’s fine art program. As the market grew larger and more dynamic, Holden and Jodi broke away and started the Holden Luntz Gallery. After two successive moves during the last decade they built out a new nearly 3,000-square-foot gallery on Worth Avenue.

The gallery recently opened “In the Spotlight,” a dynamic range of photographs that showcase fame, fortune and fashion as seen through the creative lens of noteworthy photographers.

Favorite breakfast place?

Our favorite breakfast spot is Cucina Dell Arte. They have great coffee and wonderful omelets and the service is first rate.

Favorite lunch spot?

During the season we rarely make it out of the gallery for lunch but if we do Pizza Al Fresco is our go to place. They have great salads and the best whole wheat pizza with mushrooms and truffle oil.

Favorite fine-dining restaurant?

We love dining in the courtyard at Cafe Sapori. As vegetarians we can be a bit tough to feed but they have really good options for us. The salads are terrific and the orecchiette with broccoli rabe and ricotta is delicious. They also make the best lentils.

Favorite way/place to relax and recharge?

On most mornings Holden can be found at the Ultima gym or running along the Intracoastal. I am an ardent walker or I recharge on my yoga mat at Bindu Yoga Studio.

Favorite family outing?

Our son, Alex, and our daughter, Jaye, are in college out of state so family time is limited and very precious to us. We save our family outings for a summer adventure. Last August we spent a few weeks in Ecuador. We hiked and rode horses through Eucalyptus forests in the Andes and explored the Amazon in dugout canoes with a naturalist guide.

Favorite restaurant to take out-of-town guests?

Belle and Maxwell’s without a doubt. It has a great ambience and wonderful service. The Vegetarian Risotto is sensational and they have the best homemade desserts.

Favorite way to spend a Sunday afternoon?

Reading. We get three newspapers a day and a slew of magazines so Sunday is our day to catch up. It’s not very “green” but we always recycle.
