Foodie alert: Here’s a splendid launch to a year of fresh, healthy eating. The first Swank Table event of the year takes place on Sunday Jan. 6, and it features a cast of superb chefs.

Cooking amid the hydroponic wonderland that is Loxahatchee’s Swank Farm will be chefs Chris Miracolo (Max’s Harvest), Gordon Maybury (PGA National Resort), Sean McDonald (Hilton, Fort Lauderdale Beach), and Darlene Moree (Parisorbet). Meanwhile, sommelier Jenny Benzie dreams up the wine pairings.

Swank Table is a rural lunch series, which brings top chefs and wine experts to the Loxahatchee hydroponic farm. This particular event, titled “Pico de Garden Gala,” benefits the Milagro Center of Delray Beach’s cultural programs. The lunch, which runs from noon to 4 p.m., costs $150 per person (adults only).

For tickets and information, visit www.SwankSpecialtyProduce.com.

Swank calendar: If you attend the farm feast, you’ll get a copy of the 2013 Swank Farm calendar created by food writer and cookbook author Judith Olney.

You can also find the calendar ($10), which contains recipes inspired by the farm’s produce, at three Palm Beach shops: Main Street News, at 255 Royal Poinciana Way, Classic Bookshop, at 310 South County Road, and the Palm Beach Book Store, at 215 Royal Poinciana Way. Part of the proceeds benefit the slate of Swank Table charities.
