You probably know Toyota car dealer Earl Stewart from his television commercials where he answers the phone himself when someone calls. Earl Stewart Toyota of North Palm Beach is one of the most successful Toyota dealerships in the U.S. He recently published his first book, a labor of love called “Confessions of a Recovering Car Dealer.” His pro-consumer stance also includes a blog offering advice to consumers on buying and servicing cars and a weekly live radio appearance.

Stewart lives in Jupiter Inlet Colony, with his wife Nancy.

Favorite breakfast joint?

John G’s in Manalapan has the greatest breakfast on the Planet. Most of the time Nancy and I have the “Morning Superstar,” basted eggs over hashed browns drowned in sinfully delicious cheese sauce! Oh…and I confess, a side order of pork sausage links.

Favorite fine-dining restaurant?

Chez Jean-Pierre in Palm Beach. I love their Foie Gras and Dover Sole Meuniere.

Favorite place to relax and recharge?

We love going out in our boat, trying to catch some sailfish or just cruising the Intracoastal and maybe stopping for lunch.

Favorite place for a quiet dinner?

Our home in Jupiter Inlet Colony because it’s very quiet, private, and Nancy is a world class cook. My favorite dish is her Osso Bucco.

Favorite restaurant to take out-of-town guests?

The Capital Grill in Palm Beach Gardens because you can’t beat their steaks or our favorite waitress, Michelle. My three sons and I have a ritual lunch there every Wednesday.

The Capital Grille, 11365 Legacy Ave., Palm Beach Gardens. Info: (561) 630-4994; thecapitalgrille.com

Favorite way to spend a Sunday afternoon?

I love to catch up on my reading, Nancy never misses a Steelers game, and sometimes go out and see a good movie, like “Lincoln.”

Favorite boutique or store for browsing or buying?

Pioneer Linens on Clematis. I was good friends with George Greenberg for many years and Nancy and I love to see how well Penny has done since she took over for her Dad.

Pioneer Linens, 210 N. Clematis St., West Palm Beach. Info: (561) 655-8553; pioneerlinens.com

Favorite way to give back?

I speak at book signing events in churches, libraries, synagogues, and other charitable groups. The proceeds from the books get donated back to the group, so it’s a win-win. the charity raises money and I get “Confessions of a Recovering Car Dealer” into the hands of consumers.
