Local wine and spirits expert Mark Spivak returns to radio this month with the launch of a new radio podcast called “Quench!”

Spivak, author of the recently released book “Iconic Spirits, An Intoxicating History,” is known to wine aficionados for his writings as well as his former WXEL radio program, Uncorked.

Quench! kicks off Monday, Jan. 21, on www.WebTalkRadio.net. Available on a series of podcasts, the show will offer an irreverent take on the world of wine and spirits.

“It will basically be what I’ve always done: entertaining and amusing commentary on the beverage universe, along with interviews of people who have compelling stories (or a good sense of humor),” Spivak said in an announcement last week.
