Cold Stone Creamery will host in the World’s Largest Ice Cream Social Thursday (Sept. 30) to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

From 5 to 8 p.m., local stores will give away free 3-ounce servings of the featured Cold Stone creation, Kate’s Creation. That's caramel-apple ice cream, chocolate shavings, graham cracker pie crust bits, and apple pie filling.

Kate, 11, was granted Make-a-Wish day, and as Cold Stone Junior Tastemaster for the day in February, she visited the Cold Stone Creamery headquarters in Scottsdale, Ariz. where she created the apple sundae. Patrons will be encouraged to make a donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation in return for the ice cream. To find the store nearest you, click here.
