This might best be described as semi-gourmet fast food. Specialty sandwiches, paninis and wraps with salads and soups make up this large menu.

ATMOSPHERE

There’s a cafeteria-style line where you can buy desserts and other extras. The dining room is large, and the salad bar is well-stocked and fresh.

OUR FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE

My wife and I, our two sons and daughter-in-law dropped in on a Saturday night recently. We ordered the small Plain Jane (baked potato with bacon, cheddar and more, $5.79), small taco salad ($6.29), the Papa Joe (herb focaccia with turkey, asiago cheese, roasted tomatoes and pesto, $6.99), a cup of southwestern chicken chili ($3.99), a Chicago club (herb focaccia, smoked turkey, bacon, provolone, spinach and roma tomatoes, $6.99) and the club royale (croissant with smoked turkey, ham, bacon, Swiss cheese, cheddar, lettuce, tomato and honey mustard, $6.99). Of all the great food, the Papa Joe was best with its great roasted tomatoes and basil pesto.

REASON TO GO

The food is always good, the bread is fresh and the salad bar has great choices.

SERVICE

It’s usually pretty fast. You order and pay for your meal at the counter, then a server brings it to your table in a matter of a couple minutes.

NOISE LEVEL

The dining room is quite large, so there usually is a fair amount of noise from other diners and the salad bar area.

KID FRIENDLY

There is a kids menu with 12 items on it ranging from $2.99-$3.99.
