Day or night, Havana Restaurant serves up Cuban sandwiches -- and they apparently do it best, according to our Taking Your Pulse poll.
The West Palm Beach landmark was far and away the winner for the county's favorite Cuban sandwich, with 35.6 percent of the vote. Havana far outdistanced its nearest competition -- Palm Springs' Tropical Bakery ended up in second with 7.8 percent. Third place went to Tulipan with 6.3 percent, while Don Ramon had 5.8 percent. Rounding out the top five was Union Bakery in Lake Worth at 4.7 percent.
There were two major write-in vote grabbers. Crazy Cuban in Juno Beach had a lot of fans of its sandwich, and Publix did as well, with several specifically mentioning the Publix at Southern Boulevard and Parker Avenue in West Palm.
